Frank J. Piccininni of Croton formerly of the Bronx died November 9, 2000 at Bethel Home, Croton. He was 84. Mr. Piccininni worked as a Chauffeur for Metropolitan Transit Authority in NYC. Mr. Piccininni was born August 26, 1916 in Manhattan to Mauro and Arcangela Florio Piccininni. He was educated in NYC Public School. Mr. Piccininni served in the Army during W.W.II in General Pattons Tank Division. He was the Past Commander and First Commander of the Horace W. Fuling Post # 1267 American Legion Bronx. On April 18, 1948 he married Beatrice Colaninno at St. Raymonds Church in Bronx. Mr. Piccininni lived in Croton for the past three years, before that he lived in the Bronx. Locally he was a member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus of Santa Maria Council, Bronx.. He is survived by his wife , two sons Mauro and his wife Joanne, Thomas and his wife Marian, one daughter Joanne and her husband Donald DelleBovi, one brother Rocco, seven grandchildren, one great granddaughter. Calling hours are Friday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Waterbury & Kelly Funeral Home Briarcliff. The funeral is Saturday at 10 AM at St. Theresa Church Briarcliff Manor. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery Shrine of Memories.
