Mr. Matthews was born in Yakima, WA. He was a retired auto body repairman. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of Winnwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Matthews, in 1994. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Anita and the Rev.
