Sacramento, California - Known as "Vee" Banford to her friends in Clinton, Utah, long-time Sacramento resident Shirley Vee Anderson passed away at her son's home on October 19, 2021 after years of declining health. Born January 12, 1925, Shirley lived the ever-changing canvas of life – weathering the Depression, multiple wars, the first man on the moon, the invention of the internet and more in her 96 years. She is survived by her son, Gregory "Gary" Anderson, her daughter Sandy Anderson, and her two grandchildren Krista Anderson and Elise Elbe. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents John Banford Sr., Jane Banford and, Selma Davenia Hickman.
Her love of flowers and plants warmed every space, inside and out. Her love of baking warmed the air. Her love of her family warmed the heart.
She has returned home to Clinton, Utah, buried next to her family. May she rest in comfort and peace.
