Danny was a Veteran of the United States Army. Over his military career, he was awarded and the proud recipient of many commendations. After retiring from the Army, he joined and has since retired from the US Army National Guard as well. Danny was employed for many years with the US Army Corp of Engineers, Mobile District, and was a friend to many in the district and will be greatly missed. One of Danny's favorite past times was watching his favorite football team the Alabama Crimson Tide……can I get a Roll Tide!
Danny is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Irene Englebert, father, Charles Edward Englebert, stepson, Joey Langley, and niece, Angela Prickett.
He is survived by his mother, Kitty Sue Englebert; siblings, Sharon (Clif) Prickett and Derrick (Audra) Englebert; stepdaughter, Jan Moons (Lee); three grandsons, Ethan, Jackson, and Elliot; niece, Breanna (Bryce); nephew, CT; great-niece, Caitlin (Bobby); two great-great nephews, Cameron and Christian; along with many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at the Alabama Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 10AM. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the staff of the Corp of Engineers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to your favorite charity.
