TEXAS CITY, TX — Alfred L. Hieronymus, 78, of Texas City, peacefully passed away on Sunday.

He was born November 13, 1943 in Galveston, TX and was a 1962 graduate of Ball High School.

He served in the United States Army before becoming an Operator at Marathon Oil Company.

After retiring, he spent his free time fishing and enjoying time with his family and friends.

Alfred is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Morris Hieronymus, and his mother, Agnes Michulka. Affectionately known as "Pops", Al is survived by his two sons, Todd Hieronymus and Mark Hieronymus, and his loving grandchildren, Austin Wiles, Addison Hieronymus, and Skylar Hieronymus. He is also survived by his sister, Susan, and numerous close friends, whom he considered family.

A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, December 29th from 4-6pm at First Baptist Church of Texas City at Mainland City Centre (10000 Emmett F Lowry Expy Suite 2000, Texas City, TX).
