Born in Jellico, Ky., Mr. Broyles moved to Toledo 11 years ago and was employed as a carton machine man by Libbey Products of Owens-Illinois. He was active in the North End Missionary Baptist Church and Local 700, American Flint Glass Workers Union.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; sons, James R. and William L.; daughters, Mrs. Patricia Williford and Mrs. Joan Hutson, all of Toledo; brothers, Gillreath, Leonard, James and Dana of Dayton; Bonnie of Pineville, Ky., and Homer of Piqua, O.; mother, Mrs. Mary Jane Gillreath Broyles, Rollins Creek, Ky.; sister, Mrs. Eugene Hatmaker, Wallins Creek, Ky., and eight grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Abele Mortuary, with burial in Toledo Memorial Park.
