NORTHAMPTON - William F. Akers, Sr., 62, of Florence, died Tuesday in the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1942, he was the son of the late Herbert L. and Jean (Puchalski) Akers. He leaves his wife; his son; his daughter; two sisters; and his loving grandson. Reposing at the Drozdal Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 10 a.m. in St. John Cantius Church. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Family will receive friends in the Victorian Room Friday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northampton Little League, PO Box 347, Leeds, MA 01053.
