Alice L. Truitt,80, of Springfield died at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Doctors Hospital. She was born April 26, 1910, in Springfield, the daughter of Dr. John A. and Nellie DeWolfe Lindquist. She married Ralph Truitt in 1934 in Springfield. Preceding her in death was a brother, Halbert Lindquist.
Prior to retiring in 1966, Mrs. Truitt was employed by the bureau of local roads and streets, highway division of the state Department of Transportation. Mrs. Truitt was a member of Springfield Ceramics and Crafts Club.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph; one daughter, Janice E. Finney of Arcadia, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services at Bisch Memorial Home, with the Rev. Larry Rose officiating. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
