Mrs. Ada Grace Dunkle, 73, widow of Fern T. Dunkle of Mill Hall RD, died unexpectedly Thursday morning at the home of her brother, Clarence Weight of 812 Clark Avenue, Billings Montana. Mrs. Dunkle had left Williamsport Wednesday with a sister, Mrs. Ellnora Kirchoff of Howard, to visit their brother in Montana. She was then going on to Long Beach, California to visit her daughter, Mrs. Jack O’Hara. Mrs. Dunkle was born May 10, 1896, in Centre County, the daughter of Ellsworth and Kathryn Brungard Weight. She had resided in Nittany Valley for the past 23 years where she and her husband operated a dairy farm. Mr. Dunkle died May 20. She was a member of the Mount Bethel United Church of Christ of Nittany Valley. She was survived by seven children, Henry E. Dunkle, Auburn, New York; Fern T. Dunkle Jr., Mill Hall RD 1; Mrs. Robert Price, Berwick; Mrs. Donald Nolan, Howard RD; Mrs. Jack O’Hara, Long Beach, California; Mrs. Charles Heckman, Hublersburg; Mrs. James R. Jones Jr., Lock Haven RD. Surviving brothers and sisters were Clarence Weight, Billings, Montana; George Weight, Boalsburg; Floyd Weight, Salt Lake City, Utah; and Mrs. Ellnora Kirchoff, Howard. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survived. Funeral services were held at the McCloskey Funeral Home, Mill Hall, with the Reverend Jack Archer officiating. Interment was in the Hublersburg Cemetery.
