News has been received of the death of Mrs. Ida Hulery Fletcher, founder of the Portland School of Astrology. Death came as a result of paralysis, at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.J. Bray of Oakland, Cal.
Mrs. Fletcher was born April 7, 1854 in Eugene, Or. Her father located soon after in Portland and her childhood was spent in this city. In 1900 she founded the Portland School of Astrology and it was under her direction that Llewellyn George, now a lecturer, studied and became half owner in the school and compiled a number of astrology books. She married Alman Fletcher, and a son, Earle Bliss Fletcher, survives her.

The daughter of Oregon pioneers John and Martha Davidson Hulery. She married Almond Fletcher in Dayton, Oregon in 1874. They had two children. Daughter Corral was born in 1877 and died at age five. Son Bliss was born in 1878. Ida and Almond divorced in 1890.
Her remains were cremated at California Crematory but their disposition is unknown.
