Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Woodlawn Funeral Home. The Rev. James Beasley will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ewing, a native of Nashville,was the son of the late Mark Cockrill and Mabel Roberts Ewing. He attended Nashville public schools and was graduated from the Citadel at Charleston, S.C.
He was an avid tennis player and member of the Nashville Tennis Association. He also was a member of the West Nashville Kiwanis Club and the National Commodore Club.
In 1940, he married the former Ann Elizabeth Henkel. She survives.
Mr. Ewing was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
Surviving also is a sister, Evelyn Ewing Killman, Baltimore, Md.
