Bishop Lowell Eugene Lilly, Jr. is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 10, 2021. He was born in Richmond on November 2, 1939 and was raised basically on a farm close to Hagerstown. Gene was a farm boy who had no intentions to travel the world and preach the gospel and little did he know of God's plan for his life.
Bishop Gene or Brother Gene as he is known to many, with his wife, Phyllis, had a worldwide missionary ministry for 45 years. Bishop Gene was the Bishop in Davao City, Southern Mindanao, Philippines. The Lilly's lived there for 12 years. Gene loved to preach the word of God. He led many people to the Lord, saw many miracles of healing and deliverance. Bishop had much love and compassion for people. All praise, honor and glory to the Lord. One of his favorite Psalms was Psalms 103, Praise the Lord Oh my soul, all my inmost being, praise His Holy name!
Visitation will be 1 to 2 PM on Tuesday, December 28, at Culberson Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
