Mr. Hamlin died Monday, Oct. 28, 1991, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born Jan. 25, 1909, in Lawrence, to Newt and Ella Seetin Hamlin. He lived in the Lecompton community for many years before moving to Perry in 1969. He was a farmer and a carpenter until his retirement in 1971. He also was a sexton at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry for many years.
Mr. Hamlin was a member of Oakland Lodge No. 640 of the International Order of Odd Fellows.
He married Martha James on May 25, 1929, in Lawrence. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Norma Pesch, Brandon, Fla.; two sons, Albert D., Enon, Ohio, and Richard E., Lawrence; seven grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A son, Russell Wayne, died Sept. 1, 1984.
