Interment will follow services in the Nelta Cemetery, with Jason Robertson, Brad Robertson, Rick Nelson, Randy Pendleton, Andy Pendleteon, and James Cantu serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Witt passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2007, at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dike, TX, on October 3, 1906, the daughter of Josh and Mary Elmira Bartlett Pendleton. She married Clarence Maxfield Witt, in Hopkins County, on December 18, 1923. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Mrs. Witt was a homemaker and a member of Nelta Church of Christ.
Survivors include: a niece, Mary Lou Nelson, of Arlington; great-nieces, Kelli Robertson Cantu, of Mesquite, Sandy Wright of Dike, Candy Pritchett of Cedar Hill, and Kim Oliver of Arlington; great-nephews, Brad Robertson of Rockwall, Jason Robertson of Dike, Rick Nelson of Arlington, Randy Pendleton and Andy Pendleton, both of Dike; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Pendleton and a brother, Melvin Boyd.
Memorials may be made to the Nelta Church of Christ and/or Nelta Cemetery Asso.
