She met my Uncle Clifford during her first trip to NYC with her girlfriend. Her Girlfriend knew her boyfriend was on Navy Layover in NYC. Girlfriend got Aunt Ann a blind date with Uncle Clifford a Navy friend with her boy friend. They dated during the War mostly by mail and re met in NYC after the war and got married in Time Square and moved to Adel. Uncle Clifford grew up in Adel and his father John A Taylor operated a Grocery store downtown Adel. Before my grandfather opened his first grocery store he was Police Chief of Adel in the 1930's. If you go to his grave site at Woodlawn City Cemetery a Photo is posted of him with his Badge.
