Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Ann Mangieri Sheldon, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois died Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 in the afternoon at her home.
She was born February 4th, 1957 in Galesburg, Illinois the beloved daughter of Frank Thomas and Totsy Ellen Carr Mangieri. She was married to William Donald Sheldon for 45 years.
Becky is survived by her husband, Bill; daughter Rhetta (Josh) Lofing of New Lenox, Illinois and son Andy (Rachel) Sheldon of Galesburg, Illinois; grandson William Andrew Sheldon and granddaughter Angela Rae Sheldon; sister-in-law Sharon Mangieri of Frankfort, Illinois; brother Jeff (Pam) Mangieri of Galesburg, Illinois; sister Lori Mangieri of Knoxville, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father Frank; mother Totsy; daughter Angela "Angie" Sheldon; and brother Greg Mangieri.
She graduated from Galesburg High School in 1975. Throughout the years she had many jobs which were primarily centered around helping people, volunteering at the animal shelter, gardening, and landscaping. She helped her husband Bill open his body shop, Bill's Autobody in Galesburg, Illinois in 1989.
She was a passionate Chicago Bears fan and loved having people over to watch the games. She loved socializing and connecting with her family and friends. She enjoyed creating and tending to her personal memorial garden- "Angie's Garden." She would most often be found snuggled up in her recliner cuddling her beloved cat Karl who deeply misses his human.
Memorials can be made to a scholarship fund for her beloved grandchildren, in care of F&M Bank. Cremation rites have been accorded. The family will be holding a celebration of life memorial service at a later date.
