Funeral services for Mary Beth Pesnell, 77, of Choudrant, Louisiana, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2021, in the chapel Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Pastors Blain Markham and Jeff Scott will be officiating, and interment will follow at Choudrant Memorial Cemetery in Choudrant, Louisiana.
Mary Beth was born September 26, 1944, in Jonesboro, Louisiana, and passed from this life December 16, 2021, at her home in Choudrant, Louisiana.
She was a member of Piney Woods Christian Church and was retired from the Lincoln Parish School System.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Letha Varner; 3 sisters, Mildred, Sybil, and Doris; 2 brothers, Max and Harvey; grandson, Aaron Pesnell.
Survivors are her children, Sherry Pesnell Scott and husband Jeff of Homer, Louisiana, Renee Duke and husband Jeffery of Dubach, Louisiana, Mark Pesnell and wife Wendy of Choudrant, Louisiana, Jenifer Pesnell of Maurice, Louisiana; sister, Diane Varner Ferguson of Chatham, Louisiana, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chad Webb, Justin Colvin, Trent Pesnell, Jake Duke, Jamie Hammons, and Glenn Varner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenny Browder, Ricky Waggoner, Randy Waggoner, Roger Waggoner, and Marty Varner.
