GERALDINE "GERRY" M. SOLTERS
October 22, 1939 - December 11, 2021

Age 82, of Evans City, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family. Born October 22, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Julius Solters and Amy O'Halek Solters.

Gerry's creativity, intelligence, and sense of humor enabled her to make deep personal connections. She was a sought-after fashion illustrator for decades with a great personal sense of style. Gerry was also an avid sports fan, always cheering on the Pittsburgh sports teams. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Donald Glies; and her sister, Joanne Meyer.

Friends will be received from 5-8 P.M. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 116 E. Main Street, Evans City, PA 16033. A funeral ceremony will be held at 9 A.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at the funeral home, with Pastor Reid Moon, officiating. She will be laid to rest at Queen Of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in McMurray.

Given Gerry's seven year career as a dialysis patient, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
