Leslie Arnold, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in Upland. Leslie was born on September 10, 1934, in Wabash, Indiana. Her parents were Lester and Rozella (Linn) Sproal.

Leslie was one of seven graduates from her class at Roann where she was voted most likely to run a zoo. She worked at Owens Illinois for seventeen years and retired from General Tire after twenty years. Leslie attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She taught herself how to play the piano and enjoyed playing Bingo, and knitting, and crocheting, and her pets.

Leslie is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Evan) Hovermale, Elizabeth Pukerud, grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Ford, Chad Ford, Brittany (Robert) Anderegg, Bethany (Conner) Shupe, Olivia Hovermale, James Hovermale, great-grandchildren David and Eric, and sister-in-law Grace Sirk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Phillip Alexander, son-in-law Sten Pukerud, sister Barbara Johnson and brother Lester Sirk.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana, with Pastor Andrew Sorensen officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City, Indiana.
