(Name of daughter not listed but from death date it was Louisa J. Briery and not sister Letty P. Briery FAG 202847107, who died from rattlesnake bit.)
A daughter of Mr. Briery, of Osborne County, thirteen years old, was bitten by a rattlesnake, on Saturday, about two miles from home. She found her way to a pool, where she tried to extract the poison from her foot by buring it in the soft mud, and where she was found, Sunday afternoon. She had remained all the time alone, and experienced the symptoms of a horrible death approaching. She died
that evening.
Thank you to Frank Means of Greenwood, Mo., for taking the tombstone picture of
Louisa J., and her sisters: Hattie and Luella Briery.
