Finis Lionel McClennahan was born on February 1, 1936 to Artie and Biggs McClennahan in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Finis served in the US Army from 1956-1959. He was retired from Putnam Lincoln Mercury where he worked as a mechanic for over 20 years. He was a member of Bethlehem FWB Church in Van Buren, Arkansas. Finis was a hard working man and a force to be reckoned with. But above all, he loved traveling with his wife and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Finis is preceded in death by his parents, Artie and Biggs McClennahan and his two sisters, Lois Jean and Ina Ruth.
He is survived by his three children, Sonya Jean (Dale) of Winthrop, Arkansas, Gary Don (Val) of Tulsa Oklahoma, Carolyn Ann (Kenneth) of Russellville, Arkansas; one brother, Rhoton Basil (Sada) of Ardmore, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren (Jeremy, Justin, Nichole, Stefan, Kyle, Matt, and Josh); 13 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
A service honoring the life of Finis will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at Bethlehem FWB Church in Van Buren, with burial at 12 PM at the National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
