Graveside services for Mr. Wesley J. Cheatham, age 69, of Taylor, AR, will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Spring Branch Cemetery, Taylor, AR with Bro. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.
Mr. Cheatham was born March 6, 1952 to J. S. and Mildred Whitehead Cheatham in Springhill, LA and passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 in Taylor, AR. He was a Union iron worker, and pumper for TMR Exploration, was a big fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys. In high school, he was a bareback rider for the Springhill High School rodeo team, and loved drag racing on Sundays in Haynesville. He loved spending time with his grandbabies and his furry companion, Jake.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mrs. Linda Carpenter Cheatham of Taylor, AR; step-son, Brian Lynn Parker of Springhill, LA; two daughters, Paula K. (Bill) Orrick of Taylor, AR, Samantha (Andy) Sissom; two grandsons, Dalton Lee Sissom; Samuel Everett Sissom; and granddaughter, Adeline Marie Sissom all of Ivan, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cheatham was preceded in death by his parents, J.S. and Mildred Cheatham; and a sister, Paula K. Cheatham.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Lynn Parker, Bill Orrick. Andy Sissom, Shane Mason, Robbie Mason., Tommy Carpenter and Jimmy Carpenter.
