On Monday, December 13, 2021, Fayrene Herrington Chambers, wonderful wife, mother, and Grandma, passed away at the age of 83.
Fayrene was born November 6, 1938, in Brownsboro, Texas to J.D. and Murl Herrington.
After graduating from Brownsboro High School, a semester early to marry her sweetheart, Leroy in 1957, she began her career. She worked for Creme Lure in Tyler for many years and finished her working career as the Brownsboro High School Cafeteria Manager.
Fayrene married William Leroy Chambers, June 23, 1956. They raised four children, Robert, Roy, Cheryl and Stephanie. Fayrene enjoyed going and supporting her children and grandchildren in their various activities. Her favorite activity was cooking for her family. She loved having everyone at the house and sitting around the dining table.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy Chambers; sister, Alice Beeson; brother-in-law, Rex Mann; sister-in-law, Sandra Frazier; daughter-in-law, Pam Chambers.
Survivors include sons, Robert Chambers and wife Michelle, Roy Chambers and wife Janice; daughters, Cheryl Tannehill and husband Tim, Stephanie Ballard and husband Zane; brother, Newman Herrington and wife Joyce; sister, Barbara Bailey; brother-in-law, John Chambers and wife Debbie; sister-in-law, Doris Mann. Fayrene was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 1:30 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:30 PM, with Bro. Danny Bristow officiating. Burial to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
