Willie Mae was a faithful member of the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene for many years.
Loving, caring, and sweet-natured, Willie Mae had a determined spirit and the high morals of a proper lady. Her family and her church were always her primary focus during life. She was also a proud homemaker and kept her house meticulously detailed. She greatly enjoyed cooking, sewing, and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved watching and listening to the Cincinnati Reds and always obtained and passed out their yearly schedule to friends and family each year when available. Among many things, she will be remembered for her delicious buckeyes and homemade pumpkin bread that she made for Christmas and other important events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, in 2012; her parents Edward and Lillie Hamilton; four brothers James Edward, Ellis, Charles, and Paul Hamilton; and three sisters Louise Adams, Henrietta Foster, and Mary Ellen Jacobson. She is survived by one son James (Nanette) Pack; daughter Brenda (Richard) Pooler; five grandchildren Nicole (Kory) Veletean, Todd Pack, Tim Pack, Tony (Liz) Pooler, and Christopher Pooler; and seven great-grandchildren Samantha, Ben, Jaxon, Ruby, Ella, Chris, and Emma.
Private services will be held Friday, December 17, at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery, Corwin. If desired, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
