Beloved husband of Louise Welch (nee Couch).Loving father of Patricia (John) Farmer and the late Brian Welch. He is also survived by his four-legged companion, Scooter.

Doug was a graduate of Purdue University and earned his bachelor's degree as an electrical engineer. He worked at McDonnell Douglas and retired after 30 years. Doug found much enjoyment in reading, especially books about airplanes or anything related to science. He was a problem solver and had a knack for fixing things. Doug used his technical knowledge to help teach computers at the local library to seniors. He was a devoted husband, loving father and loyal friend who will be greatly missed.

Services: Funeral service at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Monday at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the funeral. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
