Carolyn Jane Young Brune, age 79, of Springdale, went to Heaven on December 7, 2021, at her home.
She was born August 31, 1942, in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of the late John and Velma Young.
Carolyn was a graduate of North Little Rock High School. She then went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, and a Masters in Education from Henderson State Teachers College. She taught at Clendenan Elementary School, Fourth Street Junior High, and Rose City Junior High in the North Little Rock School district before staying home as a full-time mom and housewife. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, and previously Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Carolyn loved reading the Bible and playing the piano, and was loved deeply by those she taught and knew.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger Wayne Brune of Springdale, who she married on July 18, 1970, and son, Christopher Wayne Brune of Arkadelphia.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville with Dr. Doug Falknor officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church.
