Funeral services for Mrs. J.B. Watson, Athens, Route 1, who died Thursday morning at 6:25, were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Meredith Camp Ground.
Pallbearers were F.M. Coker, Jack W. Coker, John Henry Alston, Paul Pepper, J.H. Graham and James Cave.
The Carroll and Lehr Funeral Home was in charge.
Mrs. Watson, the former Miss Emma Frances Coker, was born on July 14, 1862 , in Alabama. She and Mr. Watson, who died in 1941, observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1939.
Surviving are three sons, W.S., George and O.B. Watson, all of Athens; five daughters, Mrs. B.M. Coker, Mrs. Carrie Pepper and Mrs. E.E. Graham, Athens, Mrs. Leo Stadtner of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. C.L. DeBord of Dallas; and thirty-two grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Four of the grandsons are in the service overseas, and one granddaughter is in the WAVES and is stationed in San Francisco, California.
