Later in life Rose worked as a waitress and delivered news papers and then went to work for Woodward Mobile Homes. After working there she bought and operated Steve's Homes in Weatherford.
Rose eventually made her way back to Woodward where she worked on the Ferguson Emu Ranch while receiving her CNA. Rose took care of several people and became close to all of them. After retirement, Rose re-connected to her long lost friend Jack Louis Ware and they were married on July 19, 2011.
