Jerry LaRay Nutz, age 71, of Oseola, passed away at his home on September 7, 2021. Graveside services will be held September 25, 2021 at the Haddam cemetery. Jerry was born September 24, 1949 to Walter Edward Sr. and Bertha (Sedan) Nutz at Thompson, Nebraska. He attended school in Morrowville Kansas and graduated from Haddam high school in 1967. He served in the United states army from November 3, 1969 and was released from active duty on May 5, 1972. He fulfilled his obligation, being released from the reserves June 25, 1975. After returning from service he worked on a farm near Fairmont. He was united in marriage to Patricia Werner on July 3, 1973. To this union one daughter was born. Jerry began working for Burlington-Northern Railroad in Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming and Iowa. He was a road master and crew supervisor, retiring in 2009. Shortly before retiring Jerry moved to Osceola where he resided until passing. Jerry is survived by one daughter, Angela (Kyle) McCown of Lincoln and two grandchildren Sidney andTyler; three step-daughters Deborah (Steve) Yates of Geneva, Jody(Troy) Hemberger of Lincoln, and Marcy Murphy of Fairmont, and eight step-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter and Charles, sisters Ruth Ann Pralle, Patty Enslinger, brother-in-law Jerry Comstock, Basil Elliott and Larry Zenger and sister-in-law Joyce Nutz.
