Roger E. Arnett, 77, of Avilla, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021. He was born on July 30, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to Earl and Bessie Rose (Smith) Arnett. Roger retired from driving truck for US Foods in 2002. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He collected tractors, with Case and Farmall being his favorites. Most of all, he loved to laugh. Roger leaves behind his sons, Jeremy Arnett and Nathan Arnett both of Avilla; daughters, Julie Arnett of Mt. Olive, NC, Robin (Brad) Hamilton of Columbus, OH, Leah Arnett of Avilla, and Taylor Arnett of Kendallville. Also surviving are grandchildren, Tiffany Faucette, Jamie Faucette, Autin Arrington, Madison Arnett, McKenna Arnett, and Dayton Arnett; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Chris (Laenise) Arnett of Avilla; sisters, Charlotte Engle, Barbara Egly, and Patty (Dean) Schaefer, all of Avilla; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Kenneth Arnett. Private services will take place at Swan Cemetery near LaOtto.
