Walter Cook
February 4, 1943 ~ December 1, 2021 (age 78)
Walter W Cook of Petoskey, beloved husband of Caroline F Cook and beloved father of Sean Cook (Warsaw, IN), died peacefully on December 1, 2021 at the Medi-Lodge Nursing Home in Cheboygan.
Born in Pontiac, MI, on February 4, 1943, and educated at Petoskey High School (Class of 1963), was a respected employee at City Park Grille for many years, where he met Caroline, whom he married in 1999. He did extensive volunteer work at the Friendship Center, Emanuel Evangelical Church, where he & Caroline attended services, and the Salvation Army, where he won an award for his service. He loved country music and was known by many as the "dancing fool". He also enjoyed euchre, Yahtzee, Solitaire, Monopoly, and BINGO. He was an enthusiastic sports fan, especially for the Detroit Tigers and (alas!) Detroit Lions.
A memorial service will be held at in the Stone Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9th at 11am.
