Winona, MS
March 31, 1905
On the 22nd of February 1905, the redeemed spirit of Mrs. Martha A. Hollis took its flight to God who gave it. The deceased was born April 16th, 1834 and more than forty years of her life she was a consistent member of the Baptist church, she was a woman of unbounded faith in God, and of unfaltering trust in her savior.
Her kindness, gentleness and thoughtfulness of others will long be remembered by all who knew her. She has left a fragrance for good that will linger long in the home, church and community.
The deceased leaves a devoted husband and four children to mourn her loss, but her's is eternal gain; so to the bereaved we ask for the guidance of Him, who alone is able to save and console.

Martha Ann was first married to a Mr. Leatherwood. On March 5, 1870 in Winston County she married George W Hollis.
