Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Bristow, native of Poynor, who was fatally injured in the Texas City explosion, were held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at the Liberty Community Cemetery on highway 19, relatives reported here late Monday.

The services were conducted by J.M. Long, minister of the Church of Christ at Poynor.
Pallbearers were Robert Bristow, Jimmie Bristow, Ira Bristow, Chessie Bristow, Herbie Malone, Robert Fitzgerald, Stafford Miller, Bill Blackman and Edgar White, brothers-in-law of Mrs. Bristow.

Mrs. Bristow was born on November 13, 1906, in Poynor, and attended school there. She was married to B.W. Bristow on September 2, 1928, at Poynor, and was residing in Anderson County before moving to Texas City four years ago.

Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Juanita Bristow; one son, Carl Bristow, all of Texas City; parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Petrey of LaRue; five sisters, Mrs. Lela Miller of Dallas, Mrs. Ora Roberts of Kilgore, Mrs. Lockie Fay Blackman of Miles, Mrs. Lorena White of Dallas, and Miss Sibyl Petrey of Dallas; and two brothers, Jennings Petrey of LaRue and Preston Petrey of Miles.
