Owen R. Puckett, 84, of LaFayette died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Seminary Manor in Galesburg.
Burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Owen was the son of Leonard A. and Eva Doyle Puckett. He married Clarice Edlin on August 21, 1948, in Hodgenville, KY. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2002, in Peoria.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Harold and August Puckett.
Surviving is a daughter, Brenda (Ross) Walker; one son, Howard Puckett; one granddaughter, Jennifer; four sisters, Nadine Dotts, Mildred Spencer, Helen Goff, and Gay Scaggs; and one brother, Donald Puckett.
Owen first worked as a hired man for several farmers in the area. He then worked as a welder for Aldrich Company, Wyoming, for 15 years until retiring.
