Virgil David Arrowood, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in a Chattanooga hospital.

Virgil was born in Athens, Tennessee and he was the son of the late Exia Inez Key Arrowood and John Willard "J. W." Arrowood. his brothers, Gerald Arrowood and Johnny Arrowood also preceded him in death.

Virgil was a U. S. Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He worked for Renfro Manufacturing in Charleston, Tennessee. He enjoyed the outdoors including farming, gardening fishing and cooking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Virgil was a Christian.

Survivors include his daughter, Melanie Snyder (Jeff), son, Shane Arrowood (January) all of Cleveland, grandchildren, Dawson and Austin Snyder, Cody Arrowood (Julia), Caleb Arrowood, McKayla Arrowood, Seth Arrowood, Jeriah and Eden Hood, 3 great grandchildren, 1 sister, brothers, Joe Arrowood (Linda), Daniel Arrowood all of Cleveland, several step children, nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2 P. M. at the Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Service North Ocoee Chapel with Reverend Gary Higgins and Reverend Randy Pickel officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Hill Veterans Section with grandsons serving as casket bearers. Military honors will be given.
