Louis Joseph Alterisio, 91, of Salem, NH passed away on Wednesday evening, November 10th, 2021 at the Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, NH surrounded by his loving family.

Louie was born on August 1st, 1930, in Brighton, MA to Mary G. (Letourneau) and Louis Alterisio. He was raised in Watertown, MA, attended local schools, and following high school graduation, went on to enlist in the United States Air Force. Louie served during the Korean Conflict and worked as an aircraft mechanic. He went to continue his work on airplanes at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut. It was there that he met Beverly J. Hart and the two were married on February 20th, 1954. The couple raised their family in Salem, NH.

Louie was a proud member of the Salem VFW for many years and served as commander. In his spare time, Louie enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, playing cards and golfing. He also loved dancing and was always very outgoing and sociable. Often described as the life of the party, Louie was able to make every person he met feel like a friend. With a truly compassionate heart, Louie supported causes local and afar, from veteran's affairs to animal rights.
