Thelma Faye Aldridge, age 84, of Prior Lake, Minnesota, died peacefully and was received into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at New Perspective Assisted Living in Prior Lake, MN.

On March 8, 1937, Faye was born in Pineville, KY, to Richard Asher and Lucy Asher (Blanton). She spent her early years climbing through the beautiful Kentucky mountains, which she loved and spoke of often. At 12 years old, the family moved to Taylor, Michigan, where she graduated from Taylor High School. She was proud that she was the only one of her siblings to graduate from high school.

On January 19, 1957, she married Eugene Aldridge. The couple remained in Michigan until Eugene's death. After that, she moved to Howell, MI, to live with her son Rick and then to Prior Lake, MN, to the New Perspective Assisted Living, where she lived until her passing.

A beautiful and accomplished wife, mother, and homemaker, she was also a woman of many talents and interests. As a mother, she was actively involved in her children's activity, at one time being a Cub Scout Den Mother for her two sons, Steve and Rick. Faye loved children and became a foster care parent, where she cared for and loved many children of all ages. She took great joy in caring for her husband and children, attending family gatherings, and being a 45 year member of the Lakeview Free Medthods Church.

She left a lasting legacy of many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Faye is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Paul) Peterson of Benson, MN, Cindi (Bob) Slock of Cedar Springs, MI, Harley Ann Aldridge of Grand Rapids, MI, and her sons Steve (Jenny) Aldridge of Prior Lake, MN, Rick (Tina) Aldridge of Howell, MI, Gary (Jackie) Aldridge of Edmore, MI, Tom (Nancy) Aldridge of Grant, MI, Bruce (Jazmine) Aldridge of Greenville, MI. She has 27 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, and an infant daughter, Kelly Lynn, her mother and father, and her two sisters and two brothers.

A visitation for friends and family will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview, MI. Private funeral services will take place.
