Mrs. Ella Courtright, 83, Galena, passed away at 4 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, Mo. after a short illness.

Mrs. Courtright was born May 14, 1889, in Joplin, Mo. and lived in the area all of her life.

She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church.

Loved ones who survive are three sons, Frank Fry, Galena, Henry Fry, Fontana, Calif., and Kenneth Courtwright [Courtright], Riverton, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Northcutt, Galena route 1, and Mrs. Viola Shears, Galena; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Frazier, Picher, Okla., and Mrs. Amy Bash, Galena; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the Derfelt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dow Booe of Joplin, Mo. and Rev. Harry Shallenburger of Galena officiating.

The music will be furnished by Rev. Dow Booe as soloist and Jess and Louise Charles, duet and songs will be "Pearly White City," "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Beyond the Sunset" with Mrs. Leroy Sprague as accompanist.

Grandsons will serve as pall-bearers.

She will be laid to rest in Hill Crest Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena.

GALENA, Kan. — Mrs. Ella Mae Courtwright [Courtright], 83, Galena, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, after a short illness.

Mrs. Courtwright [Courtright] was born May 14, 1889, in Joplin and lived in the area all of her life. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church.

She is survived by three sons, Frank Fry, Galena, Henry Fry, Fontana, Calif., and Kenneth Courtwright (sic), Riverton, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Northcutt, Galena route 1, and Mrs. Viola Shears, Galena; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Frazier, Picher, Okla., and Mrs. Amy Bash, Galena; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grand-child.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. The Rev. Dow Booe and Rev. Harry Shallenburger will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
