A lifelong resident of Orange she was a cafeteria manager at McLewis School for thirty one years. She was an active member of the Old First Orange Baptist Church, where she attended the Ruth Sunday School class and the Singing 60's. Vivian was also lovingly known as the "Snow Cone Lady" at vacation Bible School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rufus L. Peveto, brother, Francis Block and half brother, Ray Block.
Survivors include her sons Lonnie Peveto and wife Earnestine, Charles Ray "Skipper" Peveto, daughter, Berta Winnona Peveto and son Gene A. Peveto and wife, Martha; grandchildren, Amber Morgan, Misty Moody, Angela Peveto, Elizabeth Peveto, Melissa Renee Chomel, Jody Scott Peveto, Vivan Jane Schmookler, Ramona Joyce Gravett, Michelle Sedtal, Sara Hover, Tad LeBlanc; thirteen great-grandchildren and twins on the way, sister, Ruby Joyce Largent and sister-in-law, Betty Block.
