Aaron L. Potteiger, age 86 of Mechanicsburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at the West Shore Hospital. Born May 1, 1935 in New Kingstown, PA, Aaron was the son of the late Samuel S. and Mary M. (Kreitzer) Potteiger.

Aaron was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. He was a former butcher with Konhaus Farms and served as the caretaker of Chestnut Hill, Mechanicsburg, and Mt. Zion Cemeteries. He was also the owner of Aaron L. Potteiger & Son Excavating Company in Enola. Aaron was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, New Kingstown, and enjoyed gardening and tending to his property.

Aaron is survived by his wife Donna M. (Eason) Potteiger, a son Jeffrey Potteiger and wife Ellen of Michigan, three stepchildren Tammy Jo Eckert of New Kingstown, Mike J. Eckert of Mechanicsburg, and Guy A. Eckert and wife Brenda of Enola: a sister Pearl E. Brougher of Carlisle, two grandchildren Tate and Caroline Potteiger and many nieces and nephews. Aaron was preceded in death by a step-granddaughter Shannon Eckert, a sister Janet Brougher and by a brother-in-law John Brougher.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at Longsdorf Cemetery, New Kingstown, PA.
