Abraham Alexander was born November 19, 1931, in Grenada, MS to Grover Alexander Sr. and Eldora (Sallie) Alexander.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Choir and a faithful member of the Voices of Zion Music Ministry.
He was united in marriage to Lula Pierce-Catchings and enjoyed over 28 years of marriage.
He enjoyed listening to gospel music and traveling. He loved good southern soul food cooking and often boasted on his delightful eating experiences.
He was employed by the Brickyard, GAF Corporation and retired from being a construction worker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover Alexander Sr. and Eldora Alexander; wife, Lula Alexander; brother, Floyd Lee Alexander; one sister, Jessie Lee Harris and step-son, Richard Pierce.
He passed away on November 25, 2021 in Plainfield, Illinois.
He is survived by his four children, Abraham Alexander Jr., Shauntae Alexander, Desmond Alexander and Cortez Alexander; brother, Grover Alexander Jr.; step-children, Evonne Brown, Robert Pierce, and Antonio Pierce; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
