In her early years Emma was employed with Oppenheimer Clothing Factory then later with Scholastic's in Jefferson City where she worked for 28 years before retiring in 2003. Emma spent a large majority of her free time sewing quilts, afghans, and clothing. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in the yard landscaping and mowing grass. She enjoyed dancing and passed that joy down to all five of her children while teaching them waltzes, two steps, and fast steps. Most of all, Emma cherished spending time with her family and watching her children and grandchildren grow.
She was united in marriage to Herman Bernard (Benny) Kempker on July 18, 1959. She is survived by her children, sister, fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Emma was preceded in death by her father Joe Hoeller, mother Christine Hoeller, brother Herman Hoeller and sister-in-law Salma Hoeller.
Interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia.
