Wayne F. Englert passed away peacefully at his home on Nov. 22, 2021 surrounded by his loving family and went to be with his Lord at the age of 86.

Wayne was born on Sept. 7, 1935, at his home in Farrandsville. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy F. Englert, and his mother, Grace V. (Braucht) Englert, Wendell (brother), Charles (brother), and Lois McDermit (sister).

Wayne will be fondly remembered by his surviving family, his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret A. (Woehr) Englert; his brother, Harold (Sara) Englert, his children Meg Molnar, Sandee (Brian) Meyer, Fred (Jen) Englert, Roy (April) Englert, and Noli (Don) Nyman, 29 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne lived a religious and faithful life, always doing his best to follow the Lord's guidance and always putting his family and others well-being before himself. Wayne proudly served his country for 20 years in the Navy as an aviation mechanic and retired from the military as a Chief Petty Officer. Wayne continued learning and graduated from W.A.C.C. with a degree in A&P Mechanics. He continued to work hard throughout his life and worked at Piper Aircraft until the company shut down. Afterwards he worked at Lock Haven University as a maintenance/groundskeeper until his retirement.

Wayne enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved staying busy, and passing on good life lessons and stories to be remembered years later to his family and friends. He took pride in fixing things that needed repaired, woodworking, and working on cars. He loved just simply being outside, but also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles in his younger years. Most of all he loved helping others and being surrounded by those that he held dear to his heart.

A celebration of life will be held later in the spring with his loved ones.

Wayne's wishes were that any memorial donations be sent to the Salvation Army at 119 E. Church St., Lock Haven, PA.
