He was twice married, first to the late Willie Ruth Crawford Lowe.
Born in Belton, he was a son of the late Boyce Thomas and Inez Fields Lowe. A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from Duke Energy and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, David A. Lowe (Joy) of Williamston; five grandchildren, Hillary, Matthew, Justin, Ashley, and Austin; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Anna, Parker, and Wilson.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann L. Pawate; brothers, Gerald "Bud", Herbert "Hub", Henry, and Wendall Lowe; sister, Selma King; half-brothers, Johnny and Jr. Bratcher; and half-sisters, May Wilson, Margie Murphy, and Laura Ann Dyer.
Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
