Mrs. Letha Lavonne (Abbott) Foree, age 94, of Campbellsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born January 9, 1927 in Oldham County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Oscar Edward and Hattie (Garriott) Abbott.
Mrs. Foree was a graduate of Liberty High School in Oldham County and worked in accounts payable for Kentucky Central Life Insurance Company.
She was a member of the Sulphur United Methodist Church, Sulphur, Kentucky, and enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Surviving is her husband, Joseph Lynn Foree, to whom she was married for seventy-three years; one son, Warren E. Foree of New Castle, Kentucky; one sister and brother-in-law: Diane and Gene Cook of Bedford, Kentucky; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters: Dorothy Simpson and Edythe Foree.
The Reverend Aaron Snelling will the conduct funeral services.
