Elkader, Ia. – Dale D. Palmer, 77, of rural Elkader died Tuesday evening at Central Hospital College, Elkader.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Vernon Funeral Home, Edgewood; friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Hansel, rural Cemetery, Garber, Iowa.
Mr. Palmer was a retired farmer and former camp ranger at Boy Scout Camp Klaus near Colesburg, Iowa.
Surviving are his wife: the former Lorita Borrett; four sons, Duane and Ronald both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lowell of Hiawatha, Iowa and Roger of Manchester, Iowa; 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and two step great-grandchildren, and two brothers, Raymond of Ventura, Calif., and Robert of Strawberry Point, Iowa.
