Caroline Ethel Knight Voyles, age 82, of Greensboro, Georgia, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at The Glen at Lake Oconee Village in Greensboro. Born in Milledgeville, GA on August 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Lon Bishop Knight, Sr. and Caroline Hooten Knight. After graduating from Mercer University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree, she taught in the public school system in DeKalb County for two years. On July 23, 1961 in Johnston, SC, she married Bobby Lee Voyles of Cairo, GA whom she met at Mercer. For fifty-four years she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greensboro, where she was a Sunday school teacher and director of Vacation Bible School. She was also a member of the Chi Omega Sorority at Mercer University.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Voyles of Greensboro, GA, a daughter, Elizabeth Mims and husband Joseph Mims, MD of Atlanta, GA; a son, David K. Voyles and wife Suzanne of Athens, GA; a brother, Lon B. Knight, Jr. and wife Marion of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren, Katherine Caroline Mims Smith and husband Parker, Paul Mims, Jordan Richey and Will Voyles; a great granddaughter, Edith Elizabeth "Edie" Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her wonderful caregivers, Annie Ruth Randolph and Mae Lue "Mollie" Porter.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 203 S. Main Street, Greensboro, GA with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Grove Street, Eatonton, GA 31024. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
