Allen Humphrey, aged 57, of Springdale, died Tuesday evening [06 Sept 1904] at 5 o'clock. His death was very sudden, as he had been sick only since Sunday. He was a brother of Emma Lardin and William Humphrey, of this place. He was a member of the M.E. church, I.O.O.F. and the G.A.R. of Springdale. Funeral services were held at the home today, conducted by Rev. Davis. Interment in Prospect cemetery. [NOTE – the cemetery listed in the obituary is incorrect]
