Born 6th of 7 children, Jacky graduated from Madison High School and most enjoyed history class. He also completed 4 years of LDS Seminary. Growing up in a small town was filled with fun and mischief. His best friend in the world was his cousin Billy Wells. Lots of fun stories. One was about throwing cousin Jerry in the water to make him swim then having to rescue him from actually drowning. Another time. one of the boys in their posse made an electric chair, strapped one of their friends in it and was about to throw the switch. Luckily, a sister caught them and saved the poor kid. They were very adventurous to say the least. He joined the Air Guard Reserve, doing training at Fort Ord. He and some other young reserves decided to go on PT and have a few drinks and get matching tattoos. Well they were "drunk as skunks", therefore the best tattoo to get was Flower the Skunk. He and Patricia were married December 29, 1960. They lived in Rigby, Boise and Pocatello before settling in Inkom. They loved to golf and traveling to Mesquite and the Oregon Coast. A member of the Idaho State Police force from April of 1970 to August of 1995, eventually working as the Hazardous Materials Specialist. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. Hunting camps, Heise, Lagoon. He tried his best to make sure if they ever needed anything, he was able to provide. Survivors included two children, five grandchildren and 11 great-granchildren. Graveside service held Tuesday, November 23rd with military honors.
