Mary was born on May 23, 1926 in Forsyth County to the late Harry Lee and Mary Ann Brown Mabe. She was a member at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Mary loved the Lord. She enjoyed singing in church and was a great alto. Mary also enjoyed dancing. She was a people person and always loved visiting and talking. Mary had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh. She loved her family above all.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar William Mabe; 2 sisters, Beulah Mitchell and Nellie Guy; and a nephew, Larry Guy.
She is survived by her 4 nieces, Wanda Clark (Frank M.), Carolyn Ball (Larry), Becky Taylor (Jim), and Linda Blackburn (Larry); niece in law, Candy Guy; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
There will be a 1:00 pm graveside service held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service in the cemetery.
Social distancing guidelines will be enforced, and masks are required.
